Money Matters (or, is there a financial reason to pursue a grant, apart from funding my project?)
- Faculty Incentive Compensation for course buyout
- IDC Accounts
- Some categories of expenditures from your grant are used for indirect costs (IDC), also called overhead or facilities and administration costs. A portion of those distributed funds are earned by the PI and deposited in your IDC account for use by you for research purposes. You can spend these on a variety of research-related purposes. - Research Conference Poster Printing Support
- New this semester, for faculty who are presenting at an external research conference we are able to pay for the printing of your research conference poster at the Alkek Print Shop. Information and application form here.

Time Trove (or, where can I find the time to write a grant proposal?)
- Grant Development and Submission Reassigned Time Initiative (Grant DSRT). The Grant DSRT initiative allows approved applicants a one-time course reassignment during a long semester to provide them the time necessary to support the development and submission of a substantial grant. There is a competitive application process and approvals, with deadlines – so plan early and often! Information and Application
