Research Coordinator for Pre-Award Administration

Duncan is available to help you learn more about external funding, facilitate your progression through the proposal development and submission process, and aid in improving your capacity to continue applying for funding in the future.

Duncan earned his doctorate from Michigan State University and has been engaged in submitting grant applications to multiple funding agencies for more than 10 years, both as an academic and as an industry representative. In the six years prior to joining the COE Research Office (COERO) team, Duncan was a Research Lead and Director at a startup company named Aspire. He translated company and investor goals into research proposals and budgets while continually looking for ways to improve team procedures and nurture individual skills. His mandate included fostering a culture of effective and efficient research throughout the wider company while continually encouraging and expanding the dedicated research team.
