Welcome to COEROcast, our professional development series delivered in a video podcast-type format designed specifically for College of Education faculty navigating the intricacies of grant funding for research. What is COEROcast? COEROcast is how we provide tools, information, and discussion of grant-funded research matters through a video podcast-type format.
Why call it “COEROcast”? COERO for the College Of Education Research Office and “cast” because it's both our “cast of characters” in COERO and a design similar to a podcast.
Who is COEROcast for? COEROcast is designed specifically for College of Education current and future Principal Investigators, Co-Principal Investigators, and Co-Investigators.
Where is COEROcast found? Our “episodes” are found only here on the COE/COERO website, behind a log-in screen.
Can I provide suggestions for COEROcast episodes? Yes, please! Like we mentioned above, COEROcast is built on your requests for professional development topics. If you have a grant-funded research related topic you would like us to cover, please let us know. We have a link to a “suggestion box” form at the bottom of this page.
Our episodes cover a wide range of topics essential to successful grant acquisition and management, including grant proposal writing, budget development, compliance requirements, project monitoring, and more. Each episode is short, focused on useful information, and provides practical strategies and tools as appropriate for a particular topic. After the recording of each episode was complete, we used generative AI to help provide first drafts of summaries, key takeaways, and questions about the content of the episode to include on the website as supplements to the video. Episode content was not used to train any AI models.
Our aim – in addition to the usual pre- and post-award support that COERO provides – is for COEROcast to provide knowledge and information that can help you effectively navigate the complex landscape of grant funding.
