Formative Assessment
Each group of students will post an initial Blog entry that describes what they know about population growth and any predictions they may have. They will be able to share their initial opinion on how they feel about population growth and discuss any problems that they are aware of that are associated with population growth.
Summative Assessment
Each group of students will be required to post a Blog for at least each activity that they complete. The entry will include any relevant graphs or graphics, the students will have to decide what is the important information that should be posted. The Teacher can provide feedback in the form of an email and/or by commenting on students blog entries.
There will also be a final presentation where students present their model of population growth and inform the class about their additional exploration activities. Students final grade for the project will be determined with the following rubric.
