MATH UNIT ASSESSMENT
Overall unit grade (Math):

Assignments will be worksheets that check for understanding on main mathematical concepts
that students should gain through class activities related to the project. (These
worksheets will be homework and done outside of class)
Student Journals will be kept in the classroom and maintained by the students during class
time. The journals will include:
research/data that students collect and the sources from which the data is
collected, their quiz activities, and any notes taken during class. Journals will be checked and graded at the
end of every week to check and maintain students progress.
Math – Letter to Community: Your letter must consist of
you prediction regarding the “dry date” and provide at least 3 sources per
component which led you to your prediction. These components will be discussed and investigated in great lengths
during class. You must describe what
each of your sources say about the topic and how you used that information to
arrive at a prediction. Your letter will
be sent to the general public so it must be written in language that the
average person understands and must be grammatically correct.
Scoring: 0- No attempt; 1- Incomplete
and Incorrect; 2- Complete but
Incorrect with many errors; 3-
Complete but Incorrect with few errors; 4-Complete
and Correct
