January 20, 2005 Dear Parent/Guardian: Next week our class will begin a unit called Car Chemistry. The idea is to use the automobile to discover some basic chemistry principles. The lessons are designed to be a little different, so please take a moment to read this about my expectations of students during this unit. All of the investigations and data calculations will be done in class; however there will be some writing and research assignments that will need to be completed at home. Expect for your teenager to spend about two hours each week working alone or with group members on assignments. For any written assignments students will be expected to turn in typed papers and may use the computers at the school if necessary. 512.555.5555 misscas@aisd.edu ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ (Please return with student.) I have read and understand the expectations of my student for the Car Chemistry unit. _____________________________ ________________________________ Parent/ Guardian Signature StudentÍs Name (please print) _____________________________ Date |
