Driving Question: Whats the math behind the NFL?
Target Audience: 9th grade Algebra 1
Project Description: This project is a good way to analyze students knowledge on algebra and geometry. We will be going over the NFL and how math is related. We will be studying the business, geometry and algebra behind the NFL. Students will be looking at how much money players make and how they base players salaries. We will also look at angles of routes that wide recievers run and how much degrees they would need to make a right route. The students will pick a NFL player per group and study the player by how much money they make and what their stats have been for the year and their career.
They would need to know the basics of Algebra and some Geometry. Would also need to know a little bit about the NFL and how math is associated with it.
