Materials

For the Class of 32:

3 greenhouse effect transparencies (A, B, C)

10 Plastic bags – 1Qt. size (Heavy duty ziplock bag type) or 5 pieces of clear acetate (8 ½” x 11”)

16 rolls of clear tape

4 sheets of white paper (8 ½” x 11”)

1 minute timer

16 clear plastic bags (produce size) with twist ties

2 gallons of water

For each student:

1 Celsius thermometer

1 pair scissors

1 ruler

1 paper cup

1 aluminum pie pan

1 piece of cardboard 6”x8”

1 Model house cut-out sheet (card stock works best, Page 16 in GEMS guide)

1 Solar house experiment Data Sheet (Page 29 in GEMS guide)

1 Result and Conclusion Data Sheet (Page 30 in GEMS guide)
