| Today we hear about conserving energy and home energy use every day. This 4th through 8th grade unit explores these issues and many more. Students make model homes and discuss the differences in how homes are built. Using controlled variables students experiment with using energy from the sunlight to heat homes, water, and food. By measuring and recording data students can make theories about what they have observed and this information can be used to draw conclusions about the most effective solar designs. |
