Steven Hargis, M.S.

Steven earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of the Incarnate Word in 2014, and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2017. He has a passion for helping others, with a history of volunteer experience in equine therapy and with those with special needs.

Before starting as an Academic Advisor in 2022, Steven worked in administration at UT Health San Antonio and, before that, in career counseling at the University of Texas at Austin. His experience in counseling helped him learn key skills that he brings as an Advisor, such as building rapport, time management, and fostering communication.

Born and raised in San Antonio, Steven loves traveling abroad and across the US. He also enjoys playing all types of sports, camping, blogging, going to concerts, and voice acting.
