Plan Ahead
Early arrival is strongly suggested for parking convenience and seating accessibility, although the ceremony will also be streamed live on the Commencement website linked here: Live Streaming
All candidates should plan to leave personal belongings like purses or backpacks in vehicles or with family members since there won't be a designated area to leave them in the arena.
Faculty and students will exit directly from the Arena into Sewell Park, so consider discussing in advance with family and friends how you'll connect following the ceremony.
If you or your guests require accommodations due to a disability, use the links below to prepare accordingly:
- Candidates typically walk up and down several flights of stairs to reach their seat in the Arena. If accommodations are needed, contact our office at least 72 hours prior to the ceremony by emailing: Candidate Accommodations
- Guests needing accommodations can find helpful information prior to the ceremony here: Guest Accommodations
As always, continue monitoring your Texas State email account daily so that you don't miss other important reminders related to your graduation application status and/or commencement.
