Janin Navarro is a driven first-generation college graduate, holding a Bachelor's degree in Political Science with a concentration in law and politics, along with a minor in Women and Gender Studies from The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). During her time as an undergraduate student, Janin demonstrated her dedication to student support through an internship at the Student Engagement and Leadership Center, where she played a crucial role in assisting over 250 student organizations. It was during this internship that she discovered her passion for facilitating students' success in their higher education journey. Her contributions impacted student engagement on campus, as she spearheaded efforts to increase the number of active student organizations and managed their finances through Campus Labs. Building upon her undergraduate experience, Janin continued her journey in student engagement at UTEP, amassing three years of invaluable experience in the field. Currently pursuing her Master of Educational Leadership and Administration in Higher Education, Janin is set to graduate in December 2024, solidifying her status as a two-time UTEP alumna. With a robust skillset and a passion for student success, Janin is eager to bring her expertise to Texas State University as part of the TRIO team.
