Erika graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor in Exercise Sports and Science. She comes from a large family and has three precocious nieces that keep her busy. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as her energetic chihuahua, Simba. She loves discovering new things, especially those related to different cultures. She enjoys outdoor activities, reading, and painting. She places a high value on strengthening her family and her community.
She has been a counselor at Del Valle High School for 2 years. Her role as a College and Career Counselor, she helps students with their personal, professional, and academic goals. Helping students grow into adaptable and successful members of the community, she thinks it's important to offer support in every way. Education is important to her, and she’s there to support our students in graduating high school and making plans for their post-secondary goals.
