Fall 2024 Field Experience (Block) Placement

The Fall 2024 Schedule of Classes is already viewable.
If you plan to enroll in additional coursework alongside a field experience (block), please plan to review the schedule of classes before indicating your placement preference(s) here so that schedule conflicts are avoided.

Priority Deadline

The priority application will open at 12pm (noon) - Friday, February 16.
The priority application will close at 11:59pm - Sunday, March 3.
All priority applications will be processed prior to registration in the order they're received.

Late Deadlines

All applications submitted between March 4 - August 4 will be processed after registration has started (allow up to four weeks).
Applications submitted on or after August 5 may not result in a placement.

Fall Block Schedule (Subject to Change Pending Course Review)
- ECE and/or ESL Blocks
- Bilingual Blocks I and II
  
  Students must be fluent in academic Spanish to successfully complete the Bilingual Blocks.
  Observation hours may be required off-campus; refer to the course syllabi for details.
- Elementary Field-Based Block
- Middle Level Block
- Secondary (High School) Field-Based Block
- Fine Arts Block
  
  _{This is recommended for students with majors in Art, Music, Dance, or Theater; other certification areas cannot enroll.}
  _{If this conflicts with your schedule, you can apply for the other Secondary block instead, but space is limited.}
  _{Courses are held at Texas State, but some off-campus observation hours will be required.}
