Dear Parent,

This semester your child will be participating in a co-disciplinary project integrating mathematics and science to capitalize on their learning opportunities. They will be participating in a group project that will allow them to design a theoretical trip to Mars.  Since this project lasts four weeks, it will count for 60% of their six-week’s grade. Their final grade for the project will culminate in a presentation to a panel of judges. If you would like to volunteer to critique, observe, or judge please contact me. They will plan and prepare their project in class, however, if they are not able to complete it in the allotted time, they will be required to finish their work outside of class.  There is not any outside costs for this project, all materials for labs, presentations, and research will be provided to the students.  If you have any questions, please contact me, or my co-teacher, at your earliest convenience. Email is our preferred method of contact due to the rotating schedule at our school. Feel free to call and leave a message, and we will return your phone call at either our lunch or the end of the day.

Sincerely,

Ryan Odom                                                                            Raymond Castillo
