Christie Scott

Christie Scott, originally from Slaton, Texas, moved to this area in 2007. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Paul Quinn College in Dallas, Texas, and a Master of Arts degree from New Mexico State University, located in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Christie’s career has been propelled by four main forces: Community, Compassion, Connection, and Excellence. She believes that no one achieves anything in this world alone. It is crucial to do our part to ensure our communities reflect the sacrifices of those who have come before us. Christie is committed to ensuring that the students, parents, and citizens of San Marcos, Texas, recognize the Talent Search program's dedication to service. Exposing students to what life has to offer continues to drive Christie’s career every day.

Outside of work, Christie places the highest importance on her family. Whether she's talking sports with her son or cooking and bringing her family together, she values their support of her dreams deeply. Christie is dedicated to maintaining the incredible legacy of the TRIO programs.
