Jonquil Murdoch Bio

Grant Coordinator

Jonquil serves as the Grant Coordinator for Talent Search Austin at Texas State University. She has a passion for learning and holds a B.S. in Psychology and is currently in graduate school for Professional Counseling at Texas State University. Jonquil has a rich history of serving students in the education setting and was also a program coordinator for multiple years. Her inspiration for wanting to help underrepresented students stems from overcoming obstacles of being a first-generation student herself. Jonquil finds fulfillment from serving others and does so by serving as the President Elect for Sigma Tau Sigma chapter of Chi Sigma Iota at the University. In her personal life, Jonquil enjoys spending time with her family, being in nature, and gardening. She hopes that while in this position she can connect with students and help them succeed in their future endeavors.
