This form should ONLY be submitted by students who were declared with a major in the College of Education at the time of being placed onto academic suspension. DO NOT use this form if your major falls within a different college.

READ BEFORE SUBMITTING

Once you submit this Suspension Appeal Form, you will be taken to a page containing appeal appointment booking links, specifically for Summer I, Summer II, or the Fall semester. You will be able to schedule your own appeal appointment based on the available appointment slots and you will receive immediate confirmation of your selection. These appointments are time-sensitive (particularly for Summer I), so please schedule your meeting ASAP. In this appointment, you will be asked to provide documentation of the extenuating circumstances that contributed to your academic status as well as evidence that those circumstances have been resolved.
Reinstatement from suspension is separate from readmission to the University. Any student who does not enroll in the University for one long semester (fall or spring) is considered a former student and must follow procedures for readmission. In the case that the appeal for reinstatement is approved by the College Dean or by the Suspension Appeals Committee, you will need to have already submitted an application for readmission to Texas State University before the Returning Student Application Deadline.
If my appeal for reinstatement is denied by the College Dean, I will receive information on how to appeal to the University’s Suspension Appeals Committee, which will have a quick turnaround deadline.
