U.S. Department of Education
The Institute of Education Science and the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services frequently fund
sTexas State University on topics like addressing the shortage of teachers ready to educate students with disabilities. The Department of Education also continues to support ongoing TRIO programs, which first came into being on the TXST campus six decades ago. -
U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration
NASA funding supports the Lyndon B. Johnson Institute for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Education and Research in its mission to engage teachers and students in STEM learning.

U.S. National Science Foundation
Improving education in STEM is an important part of the NSF’s mission. The NSF currently funds College of Education projects which examine how social factors can influence the learning of STEM, and in other funded projects faculty collaborate with traditional STEM departments (e.g. Biology) at
bothTexas State University and elsewhere. -
Spencer Foundation
The Spencer Foundation supports College of Education research and how an understanding of cultural factors can support education success.

Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB)
THECB supports includes faculty investigation into college readiness and success models, and provides ongoing support for the Clinic for Autism, Research, Evaluation, and Support (CARES).

Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities (TCDD)
TCDD supports the development of supportive postsecondary education programs at the College of Education.

Raise Your Hand
Raise Your Hand has provided funding to enhance our widely recognized teacher-educator program.

Faculty projects include researching how non-invasive therapies can have multiple and novel health benefits for select segments of the American population.

Southwest Center for Occupational and Environmental Health
This organization, a US National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health education and research center, funds our faculty’s efforts to improve the health and safety of agricultural workers on the job.

U.S. National Institute of Justice
Justice issues affect people of all ages, including children, and the NIJ funds the College of Education faculty in their studies of school policing.

The College of Education faculty provide technical assistance for Multi-Tiered Systems of Support to those who are struggling.
