Instructions to Perform Projectile Motion Experiment

(Video Camera and LoggerPro)

Experiment

1.      Choose and gather the equipment you want to use and find the appropriate location to perform the experiment.

2.      Put the poster board with a specific measurement in frame with the camera. Make sure your measurement is bright and big enough so that you can see it on the camera.

3.      Measure a distance in which each group member will stand throughout the whole experiment.

4.      Position the camera where it is facing directly straight so that both group members are in frame (you can see both group members in the viewfinder of the camera). Familiarize yourself with the camera and camera equipment. Where is the zoom? How do I move the camera with the tripod? Where is the record button? etc.

5.      Make sure the camera is recording to capture the experiment.

6.      Throw, hit, or kick the proper equipment.

7.      Perform the experiment about 5 or 6 times perfectly to have at least 3 very perfect experiments to analyze.

8.      Bring the equipment back to the classroom as soon as you are finished.
