The Crime Scene Set Up
This first session of the Mr. Bear Mystery is sure to grab the student's attention and create intrigue. The students will enter the classroom and find a roped-off "crime scene" full of curious items as shown above. During this session the students will have a brief introduction of the mystery, and they will search the crime scene for clues. When the class joins together the students will describe the clues they observed and the teacher will draw a "clue map" on a large piece of butcher paper or on the board. This "map" of the crime scene will be used later in the mystery unit.
